What is your True Self and Why do we need to come back to be truly healed and happy

The faculties of life are tremendously related to and stem from the concept of Self.

During our early age, between time of birth and 7 years old, our subconscious mind is developed,

it soaks up information and feelings like a sponge. Your subconscious formed a foundation of your preset beliefs and perceptions based on the people around you, the music you listened to, and the TV shows and movies you watched. At this stage, children typically expand vocabulary skills, allowing for expression of interests, thoughts and feelings—typically in great detail.

The rational part of a teen’s brain isn’t fully developed and won’t be until age 25 or so. Adults think with the prefrontal cortex-the brain’s rational part. This is the part of the brain that responds to situations with good judgment and an awareness of long-term consequences. Teens process information with the amygdala. This is the emotional part. In teens' brains, the connections between the emotional part of the brain and the decision-making center are still developing—and not always at the same rate. That’s why when teens have overwhelming emotional input, they can’t explain later what they were thinking. They weren’t thinking as much as they were feeling.

Through the complexities of our life in different periods of development, and into our adulthood we've faced so many challenges, each of us have had to develop so many layers of false beliefs in order to cope with emotional pain. Sometimes we take on the negativity from our environments, what other people do, or say to us.

At early childhood we have been forming our sense of self mainly through our experiences with parents or care takers.Feeling completely loved, held, protected, and valuable is crucial to the development of our sense of self esteem, confidence, and abilities to deal with relationships later in life in a healthy manner.

Unfortunately, many of us have suffered trauma in our childhood that created a sense of lack of worthiness, lack of self love and acceptance, lack of self approval, and even lack of abilities to maintain functional balanced relationships later in life.

Coming back to Your True Self means coming back to the You that is Pure Awareness, Pure Love, Pure Wonder moment to moment; to the You that is untainted by any ideas or programmings of lack or not-enoughness; to the You that is the deeper part of you that always has been the lover's child, the beautiful caring person, the one that knows the Truth. Coming back to Your True Self is to come back to Your Soul.

By unravelling the layers of programmings that developed in your mind that made you think of who you are relatively to gender, society, family, culture formality, others' teachings and expectations. You will discover the power and identity or person within you that is already perfect and complete, and always fulfilling.

Too often you may have sought to be fulfilled from the outside, from relationships, from work places, from money, security, or things. But each time the satisfaction is always not permanent, because you are placing your hope and trust in someone else, something else outside of you, and truth is Nothing Outside of You can be Controlled or remain Unchanged.

That's why again and again you return to your inner self, to find answers, to seek prayers, to build a relationship that will not change, that will not fail you, that will not corrupt.

And you're right, that is the place in You that is the Real You, before all the contamination because of the belief in the false selves in your ego-mind that tells you that you are not enough, not worthy, not loveable, or not beautiful.

Healing from past limiting programmings that have caused you so much pain emotionally and physically; healing by truly loving yourself, increase your self worth, having compassion and forgiveness for your self, and develop a deeper level of self awareness are fundamental steps for living and building a satisfying life, with healthy emotions, high self-esteem, and good health.
